Lorain County Board of Mental Health
The Lucy Idol Center is proud to be a network agency of the Lorain County Board of Mental Health since 1976. The mental health services provided to our dual – diagnosed population highlights the importance of establishing specific support measures that target social skills, challenging behaviors, supports needs, and intellectual disabilities.
United Way of Greater Lorain County
Since 1965 the United Way of Lorain County has provided great support services for individuals with mental and physical restrictions to cope with and overcome limitations. One of the most heartwarming success stories is of a young woman named Maureen.
The Community Foundation of Lorain County
The Lucy Idol Endowment Fund, established in 1981 and managed by the Community Foundation of Lorain County has nourished and help expand the Lucy Idol Center because of individuals who care and wish to give a gift (of any size) that will keep giving through time.
Murray Ridge Center
Murray Ridge Center provides Service and Support Administrators who coordinate service planning for some individuals enrolled at the Lucy Idol Center to help ensure an environment of work, play, and community life regardless of disability.
Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities
The Lucy Idol Center is certified through the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities with a provider agreement through 2015.
Erie County Board of Developmental Disabilities
Erie County Board of Developmental Disabilities advocates for self - determination and life choices for individuals with disabilities and coordinates service planning for some individuals enrolled at Lucy Idol Center.
Lake Erie Lanes
The Lake Erie Lanes Bowling Alley has provided free weekly bowling to the Lucy Idol Center clients for over forty five years. Everyone, regardless of disability has the opportunity to bowl.
Vermilion Rotary Club
The Vermilion Rotary Club has provided a swimming program and equipment purchases for the Lucy Idol Center for many years.
Ehove Career Center
EHOVE Career Center has partnered with us to have students in their Occupational Therapy Assistant program come to the Center for some hands on experience.
