A Saturday with the Independent Order of Foresters

The Foresters have been a part of the Center for over thirty some years and the Center is proud to call them friends. The Foresters are an organization that offers you and your family an opportunity to live for today, plan for tomorrow and make a difference along the way. The Foresters provide affordable life insurance and financial products, unique member benefits through scholarships and legal counseling. They also provide inspiring community activities, such as the activities that have helped the Center.

The Independent Order of Foresters – Court Elwood #1245, headed by President Carol Webb came to the Center on the 11th of May with volunteers. To fuel up for the day’s work they enjoyed some donuts and coffee with our Director’s. Then it was off to work.

One of the projects planned for the day was to include rototilling by the front parking lot where brush had been removed to plant new grass seed. Then they pulled weeds. The Foresters also sealed cracks the parking lot. Then across the parking lot they trimmed back the brush as to give a clean appearance to the front lot.

The Foresters then provided pizza and soda for lunch which energized all for the task of cleaning up for the day.

There are no words to express the sincere appreciation we have here at the Center for your continued enthusiasm and dedication to our Center over the last thirty some years. We whole heartily say “Thank You!”
