After an icy winter and a wet spring, yard work awaits the Center. On Monday, May 19th, the seniors of Vermilion High School spent the day weeding flowerbeds, planting flowers, spreading mulch and over all cleaning up outside around the building.
Tad Peck the executive director, spent some time with the seniors to talk to them about the type of services we provide and how diverse our individuals really are.
While grades and academic performance are fundamental to your upcoming college applications, extra-curricular activates and service projects speak very strongly about the person you are outside of school. Volunteering will not only makes you feel good, it will demonstrate your ability to positively contribute to your community and work with others in a group setting.
We would like to give special thanks to Jim & Denise Klein who have for many years now been a wonderful influence on the seniors that take part in this spring cleanup.
We hope the time spent here at the Center was rewarding for you. The Staff and Clients here wish you a heartfelt “Thank You!” We wish for each of you to enjoy your summer and want you to come and visit us again soon.
Congratulations on your up-coming graduation and we wish you all the best in your future endeavors.
